Privacy Policy

Introduction

Article 1

The collection, processing, and protection of personal data of users of the StarHunt system is governed by these Privacy Rules.

These Privacy Rules are aligned with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, as well as the Croatian Law on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The Privacy Rules apply to the website www.starhunt.io, as well as the StarHunt software and services, and to the security and protection of users' personal data collected and processed during service provision.

Definitions

Article 2

Data Controller – A natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of personal data processing. The Data Controller is the legal entity or Employer listed in the job advertisement.

Data Processor – A natural or legal person that processes personal data on behalf of the Data Controller:
a) Gospić Advisory, a business consulting entity – For the purpose of promoting job advertisements, collecting data from data subjects, and distributing this data to the Data Controller for the purposes of contact and conducting the selection process.
b) HighLevel Inc. – For the purposes of maintaining the application form, recruitment software, and server-related services.

Data Subject – Any identified or identifiable natural person whose personal data is subject to processing by the Data Controller.

Personal Data – Any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to name, ID number, location data, online identifiers, or factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that person.

Processing – Any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, organization, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, recording, structuring, transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment, restriction, erasure, or destruction.

Recipient – A natural or legal person to whom the personal data is disclosed.

Consent – Any freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which they signify agreement to the processing of personal data relating to them.

Third Party – A natural or legal person other than the Data Subject, Data Controller, or Data Processor, who is authorized to process personal data based on permission from the Data Controller or Data Processor.

Collection of Personal Data

Article 3

StarHunt collects data in the following ways:

  • Personal data entered by the Data Subject when applying for a job advertisement,

  • Voluntary data entered by the Data Subject during the application (education, qualifications, work experience, documents such as a CV or cover letter),

  • Data entered by the Data Controller (the Employer) when contacting the Data Subject and conducting the selection process.

Consent of the Data Subject

Article 4

When applying for a job advertisement, the Data Subject provides the following consent:

"I accept the Terms of Use and confirm that I have read the Privacy Policy. I agree that my personal data may be collected, stored, and processed in accordance with these documents."

Personal Data

Article 5

StarHunt collects personal data (full name, date of birth, contact email, and phone number) required during job application.

The Data Subject may voluntarily provide additional information regarding education, qualifications, work experience, and other data or documents required by the Data Controller (Employer) in the job advertisement.

The data provided during the job application is protected by a password set by the Data Controller (Employer) when creating an account in the StarHunt system.

Legal Basis and Purpose of Processing

Article 6

StarHunt collects and processes personal data to comply with legal obligations or when there is a legitimate interest, with the explicit consent of the Data Subject.

The purpose of data collection and processing is to provide job advertisement services, collect applications and personal data of interested Data Subjects, store said data, and enable the Data Controller (Employer) to access and use it for contacting candidates and conducting the selection process.

Transfer and Disclosure of Personal Data

Article 7

The Data Controller (Employer) may transfer the Data Subject’s personal data to a third party if authorized by the Data Controller for the purpose of processing.

Data Retention

Article 8

StarHunt retains personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to deliver StarHunt services, up to a maximum of 12 months.

After service completion, data is no longer processed unless required by law, for the exercise of legal claims, or if a legitimate interest exists.

User Rights

Article 9

The Data Subject has the following rights:

  • To correct their personal data,

  • To request deletion of their profile or personal data from the candidate database,

  • To request that data be used solely for the purpose for which consent was given,

  • To request information about which personal data is stored,

  • To request details on how their data is being used,

  • To file an objection to data processing,

  • To be informed in the event of any personal data breach.

By applying for a job through StarHunt, the Data Subject gives consent for the collection, display, and processing of personal data exclusively for the purpose of applying to a job posting, being contacted by the Data Controller, and participating in the selection process.

Security

Article 10

To protect personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access, StarHunt implements technical and organizational measures.

Only authorized personnel have access to personal data, are aware of their responsibilities, and are required to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
